Message From the Principal's Desk  

*As we conclude the Lenten season and move towards Easter Time it is a time of rebirth and sharing the good news!  

*Today's Casual For a Cause in support of World Down Syndrome Day raised $400.00.  

*Our new playground equipment will be arriving in Utah shortly and is on schedule to be in use after spring break.  *The 2018 Annual Auction is just around the corner. We hope that you will all be there to support our students, teachers, and school. Remember if you can’t attend you can always help the school through prayer, time, or donations. We R.I.S.E as a result of your continued support.  

*Our fourth-grade students and teacher recently published a book on Greek Mythology. If you have not seen it yet, it is a must. They authored and illustrated the entire book.  

*Help us continue to spread the good news of our school. I hope you share one of these or other examples of the way our school continues to grow and thrive. _____________________________________________________________________

Month Calendar at a glance: 

March 23-​School Mass hosted by the 1st, 4th, and 5th graders. 

March 25​-Palm Sunday-Holy Week begins.  

March 29​-Holy Thursday and the beginning of Spring Break. No School or EDP March 29th-April 8th. Classes resume April 9th.  

March 30​-Good Friday.  

April 1​- Easter Sunday 


Referral Cards: Have you ever been standing in line at the grocery store, or sitting next to someone at a sporting event, or out with friends and found yourself being asked about our school, or how someone could get more information? I have heard more and more stories like these recently. Parents sharing the good news of our school community and wishing they had a way to direct people to our school. Well now you do! In this weeks brown envelopes you will find referral cards for the next time this happens to you. We will be putting 3 or 4 cards in each families envelope. Put them in your wallet, purse, or pocket and the next time someone asks you about Saint Olaf Catholic School hand it to them and invite them to join our community. We continue to R.I.S.E as a result of families like yours.  _____________________________________________________________________ 

Registration For 2018-2019 Registration is in full swing at Saint Olaf. As we continue to move through the process please contact Mr. McFall if you have any questions. We are looking forward to an incredible 2018-2019 school year. 


Volunteer Hours 

*We have a few parents mention they are interested in helping with our carpentry projects. We are still looking for a few more parents that is either a carpenter or has carpentry skills to assist in building a few projects around the school. Such as a GaGa ball pit and a few benches. If you are interested please contact the main office. We will be starting these projects after the spring break.  



Book Fair  Our Annual book fair is up and running in the McNamara Center this week. It has been incredible to hear the excitement around  literacy in our school as the students return from visiting the fair. The fair is open from 3-6pm tonight for your purchasing pleasure. I hope you will take the opportunity to stop by the book fair this week to celebrate and support our schools love of reading and literacy. 



Pre-K 3 Update We are still considering a Pre-K3 room for next fall and researching the interest level as well as what we would need in order to support an excellent program. If you are interested in a Pre-K3 room please contact the main office before spring break.  _____________________________________________________________________ 

2018-2019 School Calendar  We are in the process of finalizing the 2018-2019 School Calendar. We will have it out and available to families shortly.  _____________________________________________________________________ 

Box Tops Saint Olaf Catholic School receives money each year from the BoxTops program.  Keep sending in those BoxTops!  It's easy to find BoxTops -- You may have some in your home right now! (Cheerios, Nature Valley, Progresso, Yoplait, Ziploc, Hefty, Kleenex, etc.)  They are each worth 10¢ and they add up fast.  Ask your grandparents, neighbors, check your work break room, check that junk drawer! Just clip or tear the BoxTop panels, send them in to the office with the kids, and we'll sort and send for the school.  Thank you! _____________________________________________________________________

News from the Catholic High Schools 

*Tuesday Tours & Open House at Judge Memorial Catholic High School 

Join us on the last Tuesday of every month from 9:00-11:00A for an informal Open House and take a tour of our campus. All are welcome and no appointment is necessary. Drop by and see all that Judge has to offer! Next Tuesday Tour is: Tuesday, March 27, 2018. More information may be found: 

*Juan Diego Admissions Open House is Tuesday, March 27 from 5-7pm. 


Parish News:  

*The Parish is hosting a Lenten dinner each Friday through the Lenten season from 5:30-6:45 PM. Following the Lenten dinner will the parish will be hosting the Stations of the Cross.  

*During Holy Week Father Rene will be available to hear confessions from 6-7 PM.  

*Live Stations of the Cross will be held Good Friday, March 30th. This is a significant way to celebrate the end of Lent and the beginning of our Easter Season. Mrs. Romney is still in need of volunteers for this event. Practices are held on Thursdays from 4:15-5:15 pm. Please email Mrs. Romney at​ to be a part of this event.  

*Will you be attending the 11:30 am Mass on Easter Sunday? Your child is invited to sing in the Easter Children’s Choir to celebrate Jesus’ Resurrection. Please see attached flyer for details. 

*The Knights of Columbus are celebrating Easter this Saturday with a fantastic Easter Egg Hunt. Please join them on the grass by the playground at 10am on Saturday, March 24th. See you there!
