Message From the Principal's Desk

Welcome back to school! As we all return from a well-deserved respite, we are now in our final weeks of school. This time of the academic year represents a full schedule for our students, families, and faculty. Please complete a close read of this and upcoming Wednesday letters each week to stay up to date on important information as we close out the school year. ______________________________________________________________________

April 27-School Mass @ 9:00 Am hosted by Kinder and 6th Grade

April 30-May 2 Arts fair in the McNamara Center.

May 2-8th Grade Play Time Matinee Performance for the Students and Faculty and 7:00 PM Curtain for friends and families in the McNamara Center.


SEP Conferences

As you are all aware our spring SEP conferences are coming up on April 25th and 26th. We will be sending out information about sign ups in a separate email this Friday.  ______________________________________________________________________

Referral Cards and Saint Olaf Merchandise

*We still have referral cards available in the main office. Please contact Mrs. Moffat or stop by if you would like to have some more cards to help us spread the word about our incredible school.

*Our first trial batch of Saint Olaf Merchandise has arrived. We will be making an announcement as soon as it is available for purchase.


Volunteer Hours

*We have a few advertisement posters in the main office. If you would be willing to place one of these posters either in your place of work or your home Parish you will be rewarded with service hours. Thank you for your consideration.


From the Auction Committee

*We are almost there, and we need your help! We appreciate any help you can provide.

To set Baskets up: Monday, April 16th-20th-look on Facebook site for volunteer opportunities during the week

Preparing baskets for transport to the event: 10 people on Friday, April 20th 5-7pm

Unloading baskets at the event: 10 people on Saturday, April 21st 9-11am

Silent Auction: 5 volunteers the day of the event April 21st 5-10pm

Additional volunteer opportunities will be posted as needed.

HSA Meeting Tonight

A reminder to all families that tonight we have an HSA meeting at 7:00 PM in the EDP room. There will be trivia questions and the winners will get free EDP hours. I hope to see you there.


2018-2019 School Calendar

The 2018-2019 School Calendar will be attached to the email you will receive this Friday.



In case you have not heard you can now use your 529 savings plan for K-12 education. Here is some brief information from the site;

*529 plans are sponsored by states, state agencies, and educational institutions, and are authorized by Section 529 of the Internal Revenue Code.

  • my529 is a nonprofit 529 plan established and sponsored by the State of Utah.

  • Benefits of 529 plans

  • 529 plans provide important advantages to account owners and beneficiaries.

  • Earnings aren’t subject to federal or state tax when used for qualified higher education expenses, such as:

    • Tuition and mandatory fees

    • Computers, peripheral equipment, educational software, and internet access

    • Books, supplies, and required equipment

    • Room and board for students enrolled at least half-time

    • K-12 tuition expenses at public, private, or religious schools

  • Many states offer tax credits or deductions on contributions.

  • Enrollment is open all year.

  • Account owners—not the beneficiary—control their accounts.

  • There are no age, income, or residency restrictions.

  • Plans typically offer a range of investment options.

  • Withdrawals can be used at any eligible higher education institution.

  • 529 funds can be used for college, university, post-secondary vocational or technical school, or graduate school.

  • Funds can be used for tuition at K-12 schools.

  • Saving is less costly than borrowing.

Welcoming Bishop Solis

We are honored to have Bishop Solis celebrating Mass for us on Friday, April 13, 2018. Mass will be at 9:00 AM. We look forward to letting the light of the Lord shine through our students and our school. We as always invite you to join us for Mass and celebration of the Eucharist with Bishop Solis and Father Rene.


Playground Update

Phase one of our new playground is complete and is open. The students have been loving the new playground equipment. It is wonderful to see students of all ages climbing. As I mentioned previously our next steps will be to add two GaGa pits to the playground area. We will be adding those in the next few weeks. I hope you will join us in using and celebrating our new playground equipment.


2018 Annual Auction

The school annual auction is just around the corner. The school much appreciates the support of our parish community and invites you to join us for the yearly giving event for the school. This year's auction will be occurring on Saturday, April 21st at the Fountain View Event Venue in Farmington. Check-in begins at 5:30 PM and the event starts at 6:00 PM. We appreciate the continued support of the parish community and look forward to seeing you there. Tickets and tables are available at If you unable to attend but would like to participate you may donate to the school. Last day to purchase tickets is April 16th. I hope to see you all there.
