2009 Summer Reading and Math Wall of Fame
|
All students entering Second – Eighth grades will have one required book to read over the summer.
A test will be given on the required reading the first day of school.
There are book lists for each grade for the students to choose from for additional reading requirements.
These books require a book report which is due the first day. The book report format is explained in each grade level information.
The students will also be given a math time test on the first day.
Second and third graders will be tested on addition and subtraction facts.
Fourth through eighth graders will be tested on addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Practicing the math facts over the summer break will keep students math skills sharp.
A 90% score on the time tests will result in the students name listed on the Math wall of Fame.
Students who complete both the reading requirements and successfully pass the reading test will be included on our wall of fame.
