Opened in 2012, The Fisher House provides, free of charge, a place for families to stay as military loved ones receive necessary procedures and treatment at the VA Medical Center. The home has 20 suites available with private bedrooms/baths and is a much needed local resource as families travel long distances, often from rural communities, to receive care at the VA. In non pandemic years, the school would offer a service opportunity for students and parents to visit with and serve a meal to the families staying at the home. Sadly, we will have to postpone this activity until next year. For this year, Cost Co gift cards will provide meals and snacks as well as toiletries to stock the house.
