Students in EDP on Thursday were given the opportunity to join our newest after school club, Open Makerspace! Hosted by Mrs. Lavallee, Open Makerspace gives students a chance to play with many of the Makerspace toys they've been introduced to during Technology class, including Legos, Snap Circuits and 3D pens. Students are also encouraged to complete the weekly maker activity, which changes every Thursday.
This week, participants learned about Binary Code, the first programming language, and made Binary Code Bracelets with their initals spelled out in beads! Then, students moved on to the Sticker Creation Station, which was very popular! Students made Pokemon stickers, giant lips stickers, and even a few "Best Teacher" stickers for Mrs. Lavallee. :)
Open Makerspace is every Thursday from 3:15-3:45. Students must check into EDP before going to the club; join us next week for duct tape origami
