Join us tonight for a fun evening of music, running, and community!

Thank you to all who attended Commencement Mass and the party after on Friday evening. It was a joyous celebration for the graduates and their families and we wish them much success in their futures. We pray God goes with them as they continue to RISE in new communities they become a part of.

The Dodge Advisory Green House has brought an indoor garden to the basement of Saint Olaf! Students will be selling plants of many varieties (flowers, vegetables, herbs) soon. With planting season about to begin, be sure to leave room for student grown Saint Olaf plants!

"Be sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit" and so they were. Last night, 5 of our 8th Grade Students joined others from the parish to celebrate a beautiful Confirmation Mass with Bishop Solis. All that we are and strive to be as a community is reflected in these ceremonies where students continue in their own faith journeys. In the words of St. John Paul II, "Life with Christ is a wonderful adventure." Please join us in praying for our students that their lives will indeed reflect the momentous decisions they confirmed last night. If you missed it, please consider celebrating 1st Communion Mass with us on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 12. Be praying for all those preparing for this special sacrament of initiation as well. Congratulations to the five! May you never wander far from the Amazing love of God.

Please plan to participate, attend, and invite neighbors & friends to our Annual Auction Gala. Funds raised help Saint Olaf Catholic School meet budget, pay for non- budget necessities, and provide tuition forgiveness for families. With an average of 70% of families receiving some tuition forgiveness, the Gala makes up the gap in tuition loss. Please consider donating to the silent or live auction, purchasing a sponsor table, or helping to bring this huge event together.

Our Casual for a Cause for the month of April is for PARC. A former Saint Olaf school and parish parent who worked closely with this organization, brought this group to our attention. Pioneer Adult Rehabilitation Center (PARC) is a Community Rehabilitation Program administered by Davis School District in Clearfield, Utah. PARC provides services to people with disabilities along the Wasatch Front. In previous years, we provided trees and gardening materials so the residents could beautify their outdoor spaces.

Our thanks and gratitude to all those from the local community, school, parish, and Diocese who were able to join us for the building dedication this past week where 10th Bishop Oscar A. Solis, Diocese of Salt Lake City, offered a blessing. This project has been decades in the making and many many hands have contributed to make it happen! May Saint Olaf Catholic School continue to educate young minds, developing deep roots of faith, while remaining true to its charism of Christian service to all those in need.

Through the course of one fast paced week students:
*Met or zoomed with 10 Authors and 2 Illustrators
*Crafted one perfect sentence
*Created a book mark of a favorite book
*Dressed as a favorite character for our reading themed days
*Played Reading Bingo by reading their hearts out
*Earned signed books and assorted author prizes

Our gratitude to Mrs. Cowan for her hours of work bringing this week together! The students have met close to 50 Authors in the last several years and they each remark how engaging, polite, and intelligent the Saint Olaf students are. We have had characters named after students, and books sent personally from Authors to students and/or the school after meeting and spending time here. What an awesome event for our community!

This month our Cause is in support of an event started by one of our own school families who were inspired by their son Zeke. Taken from their event site...

“amaZing Z” was inspired by our lil’ Zeke who has been making our lives so much more amazing since the day he was born. You might say, he put the “Z” in our amazing!

Our goal is to help add some “Z” (zeal, zest, zing, etc) in the form of financial contributions to amazing individuals, families and organizations that have been blessed by Down syndrome as well as raise awareness about Down syndrome.

We are able to make an enormous impact for many because of the generous and caring people in our lives.
