Congratulations to our 6th Grade Boys who won the CYO Basketball Championship. Thank you to their coaches and families for a successful season. And thank you to the Teachers, Staff, Students and entire community who supported and cheered them on all season. Go Vikings!

We had a fantastic day at The Living Planet Aquarium. The entire school was able to go on the outing and the students did a wonderful job. Thank you to our older students who took such great care of the younger ones, and to our parent volunteers and our amazing teachers.

It was such an honor to have Bishop Oscar Solis celebrate Mass at Saint Olaf. He reminded us that in order to be Holy and Saintly, we should Pray, Sacrifice and Do Good to Others especially during this Lenten Season. We couldn't have agreed more when the Bishop mentioned that we have a school full of Saints. In addition to celebrating Mass with us, Bishop Solis, took time out of his busy schedule to visit with our students. It is always so special to see our students interact with Bishop Solis.

Our latest recipients of the Saint Michael, the Archangel Awards, were announced last Friday. We are proud of these 3 deserving individuals and their service to our community. Click the title to read more about each of these deserving individuals.

A HUGE shout out to all the families that joined us to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day at the annual Hibernian Society Parade in Salt Lake City! Our beautiful float, the Viking Ship, won first prize in the school category! Having all the families both on the float or walking alongside it made for a great community event and we are so glad to be doing things together again!
Thank you to Tim Fowers, a local bagpipe musician, who volunteers his talents in local schools. He played both large and small pipes for the students and visited every classroom. Combined with the Leprechaun visits in PreK and Kinder, and many other shenanigans, Saint Patrick's Day was enjoyed by all!

What does a dinosaur, Saint Francis of Assisi, a cartoonist, a stubborn donkey, the desert of souls, God’s Storyteller, and a champion all have in common? Ask any Saint Olaf student, and they will excitedly share that those are all things that were a part of our Read Across America Week Festivities. Did you know that we had an author or two visit with our students? And by author or two, we mean 4 Catholic Authors with one still to come, one very local Utah author, and 3 nationally known-award winning authors!

The Saint Patrick's Day Parade will be held on Saturday, March 12th at 10:00 AM The parade is at the Gateway at 18 South Rio Grand Street, Salt Lake City. Please join us!

Meet Zeke. Zeke is 6 years old, is a younger brother to Nolan and Benny Bird in 6th grade and has Down syndrome. Zeke inspired his family to create http://amaZingZ.org which raises money for organizations that support amazing people with Down syndrome. This month's 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗨𝗔𝗟 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗔 𝗖𝗔𝗨𝗦𝗘 will support amaZingZ.org in donating to Ruby's and Reece's Rainbow.

The goal and mission at Ruby's Rainbow is to grant scholarships to adults with Down syndrome who are seeking post-secondary education, enrichment or vocational classes, helping them achieve their dreams of higher education while spreading awareness of their capabilities and general awesomeness.

Reece's Rainbow provides grants to families adopting children with Special Needs internationally. (Click to read more)

Reminder that today is Formal Uniform Day and we will have Mass at 9:30 am.

In light of the recent events in Ukraine and the crisis unfolding there, we feel blessed to have a connection through Mrs. Braukmann that will allow our community to donate funds to a Catholic Ministry working in Ukraine. Combined with Pope Francis' call to prayer and fasting for today, Ash Wednesday there are several ways we can each serve.
