If you’ve never considered a private school, now might be the time. Below is the data from a recent article in the Salt Lake Tribune concerning Utah public/charter school students and the pandemic.

The article lists many sobering numbers and findings, opening with a quote from author Courtney Tanner:

“Some decline was expected, but the state said it was worse than its worst-case scenarios.”

Congratulations to Saint Olaf alumnus, Conner Marland, current senior at Judge Memorial, for being named to the 2021 Deseret News All State First Football Team! Conner was recognized for the honor as a defensive back, notching 80 tackles and six interceptions during the season. We are so proud of you.

It was a festive, JOY filled day on Wednesday with plenty of snow and loads of ugly, silly, creative sweaters.

Sometimes the smallest acts remind us of the light we are in this often dark world. How fitting that this first week of Advent, we lit the HOPE candle. Monday night we had about 10 families join Mrs. Dodge to carol at a tree lighting for a local Bountiful Cemetery. The staff wanted to create a few joyful events this season for families who have lost loved ones recently. Each week this month families are invited to visit the graves of loved ones, placing a light near the head stones. They then can join a bonfire for carols, treats, and conversation. Thank you Saint Olaf families for being a part of this. May we always be light and hope.

Did you know the School Supports several important community needs throughout the year in addition to Casual for a Causes? One such ministry is the Center of Hope which is tied directly to the school and an "original" teacher, Sr Germaine. The school helps provide perishable food 3 times a year to the center. We are blessed to be able to help this critical ministry!

This is the last call to SIGN UP for basketball for the 2022 Season. Come together, learn about the sport, learn to play as a team, and have a lot of fun competing for the school. Extra curricular activities strengthen our community and teach students valuable lessons about working together.
