Wednesday, September 8, is our first CASUAL FOR A CAUSE. We start the year with Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent De Paul. As part of the founding faculty and administration for Saint Olaf Catholic School, we intentionally start and end our 10 Causes with these faithful women who were dedicated and devoted to the families here at Saint Olaf Catholic School as well as to many other sister schools and other worthy needs in Utah. You can still see Sr. Germaine on campus, serving and teaching our children when she stops by. For a donation of $3 per child, students may wear non uniform, school appropriate clothing that day in support of this Cause.

We hope everyone is doing well and we wanted to remind you about the Viking Fall Fun Run fundraiser that is kicking off! Our goal is to raise $30,000 for field trips and extended learning activities for our students. We are so excited about this fundraiser because it is fantastically fun and beneficial for all of our students—they’ll take part in a character program, participate in the Viking Fall Fun Run, and get a needed boost of school spirit, all while raising money for awesome field trips!
So today, for our FIRST CHALLENGE, we are asking you to simply REGISTER your family (no donations required) on http://MYBOOSTER.COM.
IF we have ALL students registered (remember, no donations required) by this FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, students will earn a free casual dress "spirit day" in the next few weeks! It's quick and easy, we promise.

Our SHOUT OUT this week goes to our entire incredible staff for serving our students, families, and each other. This week, as several faculty were out, the remaining staff graciously filled in with teaching, recess duty, carline assistance, lunch help, and so much more. Faculty also managed lesson plans and communications for students both in and out of the classroom. In these difficult and stressful pandemic times, our staff pitched in, worked hard, and continued building faith together! Thank You!!!!

Mr. McFall will be hosting a ZOOM meeting, Wednesday, August 25th at 9:15 AM to discuss how we will continue to care for our community. We intend this ZOOM to review our roles in the school's COVID protocols and continue working together through these challenging times. We are all in this together, and we are grateful to all of you for helping to serve our community.

To begin our 2021 weekly SHOUT OUTS, we have to recognize our amazing families who serve in big and small ways as we prep to go back to school. While you may wonder about the accompanying pic of our marquee, Amy Henry noticed the Easter message and showed up to freshen it, welcoming students back. Baric Lawson picked up a large amount of school supplies and delivered them. Zoe Budge and her mom Heather fed both the staff and families at Back to School Night and during teacher prep week. At least 5 new families, as well as old timers helped at Clean-Up night with Jason Berrett returning to finish spreading sand on a later night. These are only a few examples of so many. We are grateful, we are blessed, and we are full of joy as we experience these acts of love and service to our community. We pray this year is full of faith building and service to each other and our greater community!

In order to volunteer at school you must complete the Safe Environment on-line training (or have completed it in the last 2 years).

Clean-Up Night: Join us on campus from 6-8:30 PM, Thursday, August 5 as we spruce up the grounds and play areas.
Back to School Night (parents only): Join us on Thursday, August 12 from 6-8:30 PM.

Math lab sessions are FREE for rising 5th - 8th graders
These sessions are helpful for Mr. Stokes to evaluate student ability levels heading into the next school year and give our students additional practice.
